AFRICAT 450

Pleasure of The Seas is a limited-edition number 34 of only 36 Africat 450 around the world. Manufactured in South Africa by Afri-cat Marine is this luxurious forty-eight-foot Queen powered by two Cummins motors each providing 450hp making traveling to your dream destination a breeze.

This yacht boasts four spacious cabins along with two bathrooms. Two bedrooms have been fitted televisions. Living is made easy with a freshwater tank, water desalination system as well as a geyser. The bedrooms are just below the main deck where the main dining area and kitchen is situated. An elegant lounge suite with a dining table is situated side by side with a kitchen fully equipped with a four-plate stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and even an ice maker. A television screen can be found in this area as well.

Exiting the inside of the main deck we come into a fully enclosed area which can simply be unzipped and made into an open-air relaxing space. Here there is a spectacular seating area with a table which can intelligently turn into an outdoor bed. Behind this seating area is the open deck which has a Weber gas braai system which we fitted uniquely onto this vessel as well as an extended rear deck behind the braai stand. The deck is floored in smart wooden material. This deck is the main entertainment area and so we beneath two seats at the rear we turned the hatches into a cooler and chiller.

Beneath the rear deck lies two big hatches in which the motors are fitted, these hatches have full CCTV. We have also fitted a foldable steel ramp which opens onto the jetty to cater for wheelchair patients.

This vessel has also been uniquely modified with gates and extended handrails to provide an extra sense of safety. The railings have been fitted with rod holders and bait boards to equip the vessel for fishing use as well. At the rear is a live water bait tank as well.

Moving to the front of the vessel, we find a lovely cozy net to chill and absorb some of the ocean splashes. At the front is also a rubber duck pontoon with a dedicated electric crane to help lower it. This rubber pontoon has a motor and can be used in an emergency as well. The yacht has also been fitted with sensors all round, 2 emergency 6 person liferafts and a few days supply to ensure the yacht has everything needed in case of an emergency.

On the upper level of the vessel is where the flybridge is situated. This is where the yacht is controlled and steered from. Skippering this yacht is a real pleasure as its been fitted with two Zeiss pod joysticks, one at the front and one at the rear of the flybridge. These joysticks allow you to easily park the vessel. The vessel can be controlled via the steering or gears as well, this makes Pleasure of The Seas a dual control yacht. The vessel has been equipped with a brand-new Garmin fish finder, 2 GPSMAP 8416, 1 8412 GPSMAP display screen, GMR fantom 18 radar and as well as a 1kw M265 in hull transducer. One very special feature is the off shore web Wi-Fi hub which provides internet access to as far out as 30km.

 

Pleasure of The Seas has brand new upholstery throughout the vessel and a complete zip up canvas around all entertainment and open areas. Exquisite blue lighting has been strategically placed to enhance lighting and the ambiance. LED flood lights have been placed around the vessel so ensure sufficient lighting. All lighting on this vessel has been upgraded to the latest LED systems from the spots, fogs, flood bars to the interior lights as well. The vessels batteries can be charged by three sources, Onan 4.5KVA generator (510 hrs), Sure Power and solar power. These sources help power up the vessels air conditioning, CCTV, Hertz sound systems as well as all other electronics.
